Malaysiankini update: “Rundingan lompat parti lancar”! So if the rumours have been true and looking into the news of our PM recent and frequent visit to East M’sia, indeed we may be in a critical stage! What will happen then? What is left for BN component parties? What about the economy? What is the future for our next generation? or perhaps it would be a good deal after all OR are there any regrets my dear voters…
Adakah Tun M nyanyuk?
10 04 2008READING the letter “Call for apology is stupid: Dr M” from former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad (April 8) gave me (and I guess a lot of other people as well) an enormous sense of relief and unbridled joy. At last we can be sure that Tun’s memory is in no way impaired as he was able to clearly recall events that took place 10 years ago. During the recent Lingam tape inquiry, we were told that Tun’s ability to recall past events was somewhat impaired and we were distraught with fear that with advancing age, this frightening development might create a serious problem for Tun. It seems our fears have been misplaced. The rakyat will now have an additional reason to rejoice and celebrate!

No truth to land scandal
10 04 2008The previous state government under the leadership of Tan Sri Dr Koh T K has been cleared of any wrongdoing over land meant for public use in Rifle Range.
Local government, traffic management and environment committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow said yesterday the 1.52ha still belong to the Penang Island Municipal Council.
He said it was not true that Gerakan had transferred the land to Khairy Jamaluddin, as alleged in SMSes circulated in the state a few days ago.
At a press conference after a state executive council meeting, Chow also responded to claims by four former municipal councillors that the land grant was missing from the Land Office, saying they had searched in the wrong place.
“It is not missing. The grant is being kept by the Land and Minerals Department director, so they may have been looking at the wrong place,” he said.
A few days ago, Koh’s former political secretary, Mark Ooi, had called on Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng to clarify the ownership of the land, to stop the rumours implicating Koh.
It is learnt that the SMSes had claimed that the former government under Koh had transferred “a piece of land meant for public use to one individual” and urged Lim to take action against the former chief minister.

Malaysia a developed nation? No Way unless…
10 04 2008People of all colours, ages, races and professions knew it – CURB CORRUPTION!
The fight against corruption is imperative and it is no easy task since it it accepted as part of our culture especially the Chinese. YES CHINESE ARE THE MAIN CAUSE OF CORRUPTION IN MALAYSIA ! I’ll discuss on that later…On the government’s accountability, it requires the political will and genuine desire of the society to eradicate this disease completely. Recently it is reported that our corruption statistics reduced by 0.1% ever since the launch of ‘Saya Anti-Rasuah’ campaign (wasting of taxpayers money!!! Now amended to ‘Integriti’), so is that a great deal?
Everyone in Malaysia of every level, must abhors and involve in the fight against corruption, otherwise no way we can compete with HK or S’pore. Everyone can be an authority as long as we advocate an implied high level of moral and ethical values and can provide ways and means to fight this scourge. It is definitely not difficult to find out and arrest the rank and file public servants of all sort particularly the police personnel – why didn’t the BPR do it? Heaven knows…Why can’t they initiate ‘Operasi Cegah Rasuah’ instead of Ops Sikap, Lallang, Belalang….
It is widely accepted in the community that civil servants are under-paid, therefore we or even the govt encourage them to corrupt. I have queried many Chinese businessmen and friends whereby 9 out of 10 will or prefer to bribe the officers to avoid inconveniences (go to Court, lock up, pay hefty fines, penalty etc). In fact they are happy with that way, business proceed as usual, all parties have a bite of the cake especially the vice-operators, dvd peddlers, 4Ds agent, ah longs, custom forwarders, JPJ agent etc = 95% CHINESE lah. Let us not be a hypocrite talking about moral, religion and integrity…simple test: if you are stopped for not fastening the belts, there is an option of a fine (pay in court or station) or pay RM20 now and off you go…which one wld you choose??
Wawasan 2020, don’t be a laughing stock!!!
