Cute Babe Part II

14 04 2008

Actress Jessica Alba was born in Pomona, California on the 28th of April 1981. After much encouragement from her good friend, Mr. Andy Yong, she made her film debut in Camp Nowhere (1994). This small role led to her being cast with Drew Barrymore in the romantic comedy Never Been Kissed. It was being cast in the series Dark Angel (2000) with Valarie Rae Miller that really put her star in orbit. She has since starred in Sin City (2005) with Jaime King. In 2003 Jessica Alba won a DVDX Award for her portrayal of Selima in The Sleeping Dictionary.

Investor, what should you do?

14 04 2008

Lepak at the mamak stall and enjoy a glass of teh-tarik! Happenings in the political scene should hold sway over the stock market for at least 2-3 months. Many believe that the developments over the first parliament session may have some consequences. So trust me, at the moment most investors will stay sidelines while they wait for things to unfold. As has been the case for a while now, some volatility is also likely when knee-jerk reactions take over.
At this point, there is still much political incertainty, merely the idea of Anwar being installed as the official Opposition leader may be enough to generate a stock market response. Despite Anwar’s denial that he is not going to oust the PM yet, many people insist that he will be back in the Parliament sooner rather than later. Also, the ongoings within UMNO, MCA, MIC, PGRM (& PPP?) will be closely watched as investors look for indications as to how the party leadership will take shape in months to come. Once there is a political stability and improvement of the global commodity prices as well as US economy factors, just relax, enjoy my blog and a cuppa!

Obama is unfit for the Presidency?

14 04 2008

“Obama in Senate: Star Power, Minor Role” is not the type of article the Obama camp wants out there, especially right now with the self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head that is “Bittergate.” I was saddened that the story didn’t gain more traction in the media or the blogosphere.

[Obama] went to the Senate intent on learning the ways of the institution, telling reporters he would be “looking for the washroom and trying to figure out how the phones work.” But frustrated by his lack of influence and what he called the “glacial pace,” he soon opted to exploit his star power. He was running for president even as he was still getting lost in the Capitol’s corridors.

Translation: “Obama is power hungry and arrogant. He either ran for president to improve his Senatorial standing, not dreaming he’d have a real shot, or he intended to use his Senate seat as a stepping stone to the White House from the beginning.” Either way, he wants the Oval Office because he thinks he can do more from there. Is he not familiar with our government’s checks and balances?  What about multi-racial society?  Ahh…so is pak lah, koh, samy, ong fit to lead their respective party?

Imagine a white male of Barack Obama’s age, with the same, postage stamp-size resume and silver spoon pedigree, had been the one to challenge Clinton? The press would have chewed him up and spit him months ago out for being so presumptuous.

P/S:  Is it true that Obama is Osama’s brother?

Dream Car Part III

Saw this car at Bangsar last weekend, wow it really stimulates me!  The desire to drive and experience Range Rover Sports is enhanced by its athletic, muscular design…

Anwar is back!

14 04 2008

Anwar Ibrahim is officially back to the political stages today (I know a bit outdated…).  He is expected to re-enter Parliament soon maybe through a by-election in one of the seats held by his PKR and to challenge PM in a no-confidence vote later?

The recent Dewan Rakyat seating arrangement shows that Pak Lah, Mustapa, Najib, Muhyiddin, Nazri, Hishamuddin, Bernard, Syed Hamid and Rais sitting closely, so gone are the days with Ka Ting, Samy Vellu etc.  In contrast Opp front seats are Wan Azizah, Dr.Lee, Sivarasa, William, Tian Chua, Khalid Ibrahim, Guan Eng, Kit Siang, Hadi and Nasharudin.  So who is more Malaysian?

MANCHESTER UTD IS THE BEST!

14 04 2008

Last night: MU 2-1 ARS, the second goal free-kick by Hargreaves was the best I ever seen…

Close your eyes and Imagine that you are selected by a team to play in a competition as a defender. On the field all of a sudden you see the opponent’s attackers consist of ROONEY, RONALDO, GIGGS, TEVEZ AND NANI !!! What would you do then?  Terus mengecutlah! That’s why they are the best!
